To strengthen workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and employee competency within the oil and gas sector, Strategia Mentor Initiative partnered with Avanti Energy to deliver structured monthly training and CPD certification programmes tailored to the organisation’s operational needs.
The training programme focused on developing employees’ practical knowledge and response capabilities in critical health, safety, and emergency preparedness areas.
Key Training & Certification Programmes Delivered:
- Basic First Aid – equipping employees with essential skills to provide immediate assistance during workplace incidents and emergencies.
- Firefighting & Emergency Response – strengthening employees’ ability to prevent, respond to, manage fire-related incidents and other workplace emergencies.
- Hydrogen Sulphide (H₂S) Awareness – enhancing awareness of H₂S hazards, exposure risks, preventive measures and appropriate emergency response procedures.
- COSHH Awareness – enhancing awareness of working with and around hazardous substances, to ensure safe work practices and use of standard operating procedures.
- IADC and IWCF - Strengthen staff competence in safe operational drilling practices and certification based on IADC and IWCF.
Through the monthly training programme, Kamit Energy was able to continuously build employee competence, reinforce safety awareness and promote a stronger culture of preparedness and risk prevention.
